Scottish Highlands, clans and brave heroines - Pixar's newest 3D adventure is a funny and entertaining finale to half-term. The film is followed by a Q&A with the Director and Producer so have questions ready. Film is rated PG.

'Natural Circuits' is the theme for this year's Barbican Weekender exploring the influence of digital technology on the arts. Kids can create 3D printed animals, make a Beatbox t-shirt and get creative with digital graffiti. The Rain Room is bound to have long queues, but is worth visiting.

Guy Fawkes Night in Battersea Park

A few boroughs have conveniently scheduled Bonfire Night fireworks over the weekend. Battersea Park always puts on a well-organised show with lots of stalls and a huge Bonfire. Under 10s are free-of-charge, but tickets must be booked in advance. Blackheath has a huge display - donations appreciated. Bishop's Park and Ravenscourt Park have a James Bond themed night each.

Pudsey in Covent Garden

Children in Need have organised a fundraising day of fun with super-busking, storytelling, visits by children's presenters and face-painting. Pudsey the mascot has undergone a very designer transformation with over 30 of the biggest names in fashion creating fabulous versions to be auctioned off by Christies and can be admired at Selfridges until mid-November.

Stop Motion Animation in Dulwich

BFI animator Joanna van der Meer will be leading a Stop Motion computer animation workshop with a Guy Fawkes Fireworks theme. The completed films will be featured on the BFI YouTube channel. West African folk tale, Kirikou and the Sorceress can be booked after the workshop.
